A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Saimbeyli district of Adana at 04:02. According to data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the tremor was recorded at a depth of 7 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Kayseri, and Gaziantep, as well as in Adana.
In its first statement following the earthquake, AFAD announced that no negative situations have been detected so far.
The agency stated that field scanning operations are ongoing and conveyed its best wishes to the citizens affected by the earthquake.
