Breaking News: 5th wave of operations against IMM has begun! Detention warrants issued for numerous individuals, including mayors!
Turkey woke up to another dawn raid this morning. As new investigations were launched into CHP-run municipalities, a 5th wave of operations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) was also initiated. Within the scope of 4 separate investigations, detention warrants were issued for 47 people, including CHP Party Assembly Member Baki Baydöner, 27th Term CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu, IMM Secretary General Erdal Celal Aksoy, and numerous mayors.

The 5th wave of operations in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) regarding allegations of corruption and terrorism has begun.
Detention warrants have been issued for numerous individuals, including Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün, Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe, IMM subsidiary İSFALT General Manager Burak Korzay, and CHP Party Assembly member Baki Aydöner.
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
In a statement issued by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated, "Search, seizure, and detention warrants have been issued for a total of 47 suspects within the scope of 4 different investigation files. The procedures are currently being carried out."
Some of the individuals for whom detention warrants were issued on charges of "bribery," "offering bribes," "extortion," and "rigging tenders" are as follows:
