According to AFAD data, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred in the Ilgın district of Konya.

The depth of the earthquake, recorded at 06:40, was measured at 15.6 kilometres.

YERLIKAYA'S STATEMENT ON THE KONYA EARTHQUAKE

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement on his X account following the earthquake, which caused brief panic.

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake has occurred in Konya's Ilgın district. In connection with the earthquake, which was also felt in surrounding provinces, all teams from AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately begun field surveys. As of now, there are no adverse reports.

Yerlikaya announced that teams had begun field surveys and that there were no adverse reports.

Yerlikaya's statement read as follows:

"A magnitude 4.3 earthquake has occurred in Konya's Ilgın district. In connection with the earthquake, which was also felt in surrounding provinces, all teams from AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately begun field surveys. As of now, there are no adverse reports. 

I extend my wishes for a speedy recovery to our citizens affected by the earthquake.
