Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 611 people were apprehended in operations conducted against FETÖ across 77 provinces.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 611 suspects were apprehended in the 'Kıskaç' (Pincer) operations conducted against FETÖ.

Sharing footage of the operations on his X account, Yerlikaya stated the following:

“We will not forgive those who ruthlessly opened fire on our people, who did not refrain from bombing our Veteran Parliament, and who tried to steal the future of millions of our youth with the exam questions they stole.

In the simultaneous 'KISKAÇ' operations conducted against FETÖ in 77 provinces, coordinated by the General Directorate of Security Intelligence, the Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), and the Counter-Terrorism Department (TEM), with the support of our National Intelligence Organization (MİT):

611 suspects were apprehended.

In the efforts targeting FETÖ's current and financial structure in Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Ağrı, Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Ardahan, Artvin, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bartın, Batman, Bayburt, Bilecik, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bolu, Burdur, Bursa, Çanakkale, Çankırı, Çorum, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Isparta, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Karabük, Karaman, Kars, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muğla, Muş, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Rize, Sakarya, Samsun, Siirt, Sinop, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Tekirdağ, Tokat, Trabzon, Tunceli, Uşak, Van, Yalova, Yozgat, and Zonguldak, the following individuals were identified:

  • Those operating within the terrorist organization's provincial, educational, and financial structures,
  • Those hiding in 'safe houses' (gaybubet),
  • Those seeking to flee abroad through illegal means or assisting in such attempts,
  • Bylock users or those mentioned in the content,
  • Individuals named as organization members/executives in testimonies taken within the scope of FETÖ investigations.
  • It was determined that these individuals:
  • Used fake IDs and passports belonging to different countries while fleeing abroad illegally,
  • Conducted activities to recruit students for the organization, noting down students and their families in these efforts and reporting them to the organization's senior management,
  • Opened student houses and appointed 'house brothers,' 'house sisters,' and regional student supervisors,
  • Appointed educational consultants, district and tradesmen supervisors, and aid coordinators for provinces,
  • Continued study activities by opening houses to place students back into public institutions and military schools,
  • Continued 'catalog marriages' to prevent defections within the organization,
  • Transferred organization funds to the families of detainees and convicts in prisons to prevent them from becoming effective repentants and to keep their families from breaking away from the organization,
  • Prioritized secrecy within the financial structure, delivering organization funds by hand in public places and shopping mall restrooms due to the lack of cameras.
