Breaking News... Another earthquake in the Marmara region: Felt in Istanbul and surrounding areas

The earthquake that occurred in the Marmara region at 13:58 was felt in surrounding provinces, primarily in Istanbul. The epicenter of the earthquake was announced as the Gemlik district of Bursa.

Following the 3.9 and 4.2 magnitude earthquakes that occurred yesterday in Gemlik, Bursa, another earthquake struck the Marmara region today.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre announced that the earthquake occurred in Gemlik again and had a magnitude of 4.5.

STATEMENT FROM AFAD

A formal statement has also been released by AFAD. AFAD reported that the earthquake occurred in the Gemlik district and had a magnitude of 4.3. AFAD noted that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12.91 kilometers.
