Breaking News: Another investigation, this time into Eğitim-Sen!
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into Eğitim-Sen on the grounds that it issued a call intended to incite social unrest.

The news of investigations continues unabated. Most recently, an investigation has been launched into Eğitim-Sen as well.
In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "An ex officio investigation has been launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the members of the Central Executive Board of Eğitim-Sen and the users of the relevant social media account for the crime of publicly inciting to commit a crime, regarding the incident on 24.03.2025 where a call was made from the official social media account of Eğitim-Sen to incite social events occurring in our country, without the conditions for a legal strike being met."
EĞİTİM-SEN HAD ANNOUNCED A WORK STOPPAGE
The following statements were included in the announcement made by Eğitim-Sen:
"University students have risen up against the deepening anti-democratic practices in the country, the suppression of freedom of expression, the appointment of trustee rectors, and attacks on the freedom of thought and organization. We will never leave the students alone in their struggle for a Democratic Turkey and a Free, Autonomous University!
We stand with the students against the long-standing anti-democratic practices, pressures, and lawlessness!
As academic staff who are members of Eğitim-Sen, we are not providing services on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, with the demand for 'A University for the benefit of Humanity, Society, and Nature!'"
