Breaking news... Attack on Sinan Ateş's family!

While the verdict was awaited at the hearing for the murder of Sinan Ateş in Ankara, an individual carried out an attack on the Ateş family.

An attack was carried out against the family of the late Sinan Ateş, former President of the Ülkü Ocakları, during the hearing regarding his murder in Ankara.

An individual attacked Selma Ateş, the sister of the late Sinan Ateş. It was stated that the individual was a relative of one of the defendants.

Selma Ateş said, "We said this would happen. We said they would attack us. They attacked us right next to a party leader."

MOTHER HOSPITALIZED

Sinan Ateş's mother, Saniye Ateş, who fell ill, was taken to the hospital.

STATEMENT FROM THEIR LAWYER

The Ateş family's lawyer, Şeyda Şahin, explained how the incident occurred.

Şeyda Şahin's statements are as follows:

''We were waiting outside for the verdict. Ms. Selma was sitting with her husband. Milli Yol Party Chairman Remzi Çayır was also with us. Someone, whom we later learned was a relative of a defendant and was wearing a white hoodie, approached and physically lunged at Ms. Selma; her husband, seeing this, tried to intervene. After that, there was a scuffle.''

NONE OF US ARE SAFE

Sinan Ateş's sister, Selma Ateş, continued her remarks after the attack, stating that if anything happens to her, 'İzzet Ulvi Yönter and Semih Yalçın' are responsible:

We were sitting. The Milli Yol Party chairman, myself, and my husband were sitting. I was sitting side-by-side with my husband on the side. Someone came and attacked me from behind, and I didn't understand what was happening. My husband retaliated to protect me. Some people were filming in the back; it happened when I least expected it. However, I was expecting this attack.

There is no such thing as justice. I said that if anything happens to me, I am filing a complaint against the names I listed. Look at the state they have reduced my mother to? You have ruined us. The subject of the court throughout the day was not the detainees. The subject was 'Selma Ateş did this, she said that.' My brother was murdered, what should I do?

If anything happens to me, those responsible are the MHP, from İzzet Ulvi to Semih Yalçın, Ömer Şanlı, and the other names I gave to my lawyer...

You will see, the same attacks will happen again. They are following me everywhere. My car was keyed in front of cameras. They want Selma Ateş to stay silent. I will continue until I get justice for Sinan Ateş.

No one has the right to do anything to my mother or my family.

I don't know the attacker. We will not reconcile; I will hold them all accountable.

I wasn't expecting an attack because people were constantly approaching us to offer their condolences.

We were subjected to so much throughout the day, and we stayed silent through it all.

You are all under suspicion. We are all dead men walking here. We have no right to live or speak. You are not safe either.''
