Two consecutive earthquakes occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir during the morning hours. A tremor with a magnitude of 4.1 was first recorded at 10:34:13, followed immediately by another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 at 10:34:22. The earthquakes occurred within seconds of each other.
EARTHQUAKES FELT IN SURROUNDING PROVINCES
The tremors this morning were also felt in surrounding provinces and in Istanbul. A 5.1 magnitude earthquake during the night had already caused panic, and the tremors experienced this morning have increased anxiety.

AFAD announced the two earthquakes that occurred in the Sındırgı district and provided information regarding their magnitudes. The first earthquake was 4.1, followed by a 4.2 magnitude quake. Citizens in the region experienced a brief moment of panic during the earthquakes.
