Breaking News: Bus traveling from Tekirdağ to Kayseri overturns in Kırıkkale! 41 injured, 3 in critical condition

A passenger bus with license plate 38 ADF 410, traveling from Tekirdağ to Kayseri, veered off the road and overturned for reasons yet to be determined near the Karakeçili State Hospital in the Karakeçili district of Kırıkkale. A total of 41 people were injured in the accident, 3 of them critically.

Upon notification, AFAD, fire department, medical, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, who were extracted from the bus by the teams, were taken to nearby hospitals after receiving initial treatment at the scene.

STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR SARIİBRAHİM

Kırıkkale Governor Hüseyin Engin Sarıibrahim, who conducted inspections at the scene, stated regarding the accident: "Around 05:00, a bus belonging to a private company traveling from Tekirdağ towards Kayseri overturned due to the slipperiness of the road and the driver's influence, causing the accident. In the accident involving a total of 38 passengers, 2 drivers, and 1 attendant, we have 3 critically injured individuals, and 38 injured people have been transported to hospitals.

We have transported all our injured to both our Specialized Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Hospital. I would like to express my endless gratitude to our AFAD teams and all our personnel. I want to say, may God protect us from accidents and troubles. I would like to state this: I want to emphasize that it is very important for our citizens traveling on buses to wear their seatbelts in the event of an accident.

I want to draw the attention of our citizens to how important this is at the moment of an accident. Because we are seeing these traumas in all our injured. I wish everyone a speedy recovery once again. We will take close care of the families, relatives, and everyone as much as we can," he said.
