Breaking News: CHP calls for an emergency meeting!
A 5th wave of operations has been launched against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). While detention warrants have been issued for 47 people as part of 4 separate investigations, the CHP has decided to hold an emergency meeting. It has been learned that members of parliament, the IBB Group Management, and district chairs are heading to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched the 5th wave of operations this morning as part of the investigations it is conducting into the IBB regarding allegations of corruption and terrorism, which began on March 19.

Detention warrants were issued for 47 people, including a large number of mayors, as part of 4 different investigations.
It has been learned that 3 of the individuals for whom detention warrants were issued are already in custody for other investigations, 3 are abroad, and 28 have been taken into custody. It was reported that search efforts for the remaining 13 individuals are ongoing.
In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated, "Search, seizure, and detention warrants have been issued for a total of 47 suspects within the scope of 4 different investigation files. The procedures are continuing to be carried out."
Following the launched investigations, the Republican People's Party (CHP) decided to hold an emergency meeting.
Members of parliament, the IBB Group Management, and district chairs are heading to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters.
