Interior Minister Yerlikaya, in a statement on his social media account, stated that the criminal organization known as the "Bulutlar gang" was dismantled as part of the "Cage Operations" carried out simultaneously in 8 provinces, centered in Tekirdağ, and noted that 25 suspects were apprehended in the operations.

"I want our dear nation to know that no matter how large they are, we will not give any breathing room to organized crime groups and gangs that disturb the peace of our people," said Yerlikaya, providing the following information:

"Under the coordination of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, an operation was carried out by the Tekirdağ Provincial Police Department's KOM Branch against members of the Organized Crime Organization known in the public as the Bulutlar, led by Özgür Bulut.

Simultaneous operations were carried out against individuals identified as having committed the crimes of Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes, Intentional Injury within the Scope of Organizational Activities, Qualified Plunder, Blackmail, and Bribery in our 8 provinces of Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, Antalya, Istanbul, Hatay, Samsun, and Kars to apprehend the suspects. It was determined that they gained unfair profit under the guise of providing protection and security at entertainment venues, that organization members disturbed the peace of our citizens by carrying out many armed injury incidents at the doors of entertainment venues and throughout the province, thereby attempting to gain influence, provided financial benefits to the criminal organization by acting as so-called mediators in debt-credit matters, and posed a threat to public safety and peace. 9 unlicensed pistols were seized in the operation.
