An investigation into a fake diploma had been launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who applied to participate in the primary election where the CHP will determine its presidential candidate on March 23.
As part of the investigation, İmamoğlu had been invited to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on February 26 to provide his statement.
