The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance has ordered a halt to the preparations for the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress.
In the court's letter dated September 24, 2025, attention was drawn to the validity of the injunction, stating: "The injunction issued has not yet entered the appellate process, and the decision rendered by our court is current and valid. Unless this decision is overturned or modified by the Istanbul Regional Court of Justice, the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress elections to be held on 09/24/2025 are in violation of the court order. Therefore, the activities must be halted."
CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik said, "We will hold our congress," as he arrived at the congress hall.
Meanwhile, a delegation has arrived at the venue to serve the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance's order to halt the CHP İstanbul Provincial Extraordinary Congress.
