WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
The DEM Party delegation met with Abdullah Öcalan on December 28. Following the meeting between Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan with Abdullah Öcalan, the DEM Party shared the details of the meeting. Öcalan gave a green light to Bahçeli's call, stating, "I possess the competence and determination to provide the necessary positive contribution to the new paradigm supported by Mr. Bahçeli and Mr. Erdoğan."
MEETINGS HELD WITH POLITICAL PARTIES
The DEM Party delegation requested appointments from political parties regarding the Imralı agenda. Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, and Ahmet Türk, who met with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan on Imralı Island on December 28, met first with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and then with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on January 2.
The second stop for the DEM Party was the MHP Parliamentary Group. MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli first greeted Ahmet Türk and welcomed the delegation warmly. After the 40-minute meeting, the delegation appeared before the press with Bahçeli but did not make a statement.
The delegation met with AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler at the Parliament on Monday, January 6. The DEM Party delegation later visited Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan and Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu.
On Tuesday, January 7, the DEM Party delegation visited CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the Parliament, Ali Babacan at the DEVA Party Headquarters, and Fatih Erbakan at the New Welfare Party Headquarters.
