Breaking News: Dervişoğlu responds to Bahçeli! 'You are sending the Republic of Turkey to the gallows!'

Political parties continue their group meetings in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) this week. Yesterday, the MHP and DEM Party held their respective group meetings.

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, the architect of the reconciliation process, had stated regarding the reconciliation commission's visit to İmralı: "They say they will judge us, they say we are committing a crime. If you are going to judge anyone, judge your own greed for money. At my age, I shout bravely: as long as the Turkish nation finds peace, as long as terrorism is uprooted and cast out of our lives, let our end be the gallows."

A response to Bahçeli's words came from İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.

Dervişoğlu used the words, "You are sending the Republic of Turkey to the gallows! Are you aware of that?"

Stating that "They went secretly to the feet of the terrorist they could not bring to Parliament," Dervişoğlu continued as follows:

"They went saying, 'I did not go, I do not know who went.' Because the last shred of conscience remaining somewhere inside them was telling them to stop. But the order overrode everything. They preferred the unbearable disgrace of being a servant to the nobility of standing tall. Those who take a terrorist as an interlocutor, those who consider the murderer of 50,000 of our people as the most serious interlocutor, are no longer our interlocutors, no matter what they say. Let everyone know this well.
