It was reported that employees of the Şişli, Sarıyer, Ataşehir, and Maltepe municipalities were among those included in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
On the other hand, it was learned that former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç is also among those for whom a detention warrant was issued.

İNÖNÜ SUMMONED AS A WITNESS
While detention warrants were issued for 38 people within the scope of the investigation, 32 people have been taken into custody. It was noted that the deputy mayors of the Ataşehir and Maltepe municipalities from that period are also among those detained.
It was learned that former Maltepe Mayor Ali Kılıç was summoned to testify as a 'victim,' while former Şişli Mayor Hasan Hayri İnönü and former Şişli Deputy Mayor Abdurrahman Emir Sarıgül were summoned as 'witnesses.'
According to the allegations, certain tenders held in the municipalities between 2014 and 2016 were used to provide financial support to the organization. In this context, it was claimed that public resources were transferred to the terrorist organization through individuals and companies considered to be linked to the organization.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch took action in the morning hours upon the instructions of the prosecutor's office. Within the scope of the operation, simultaneous raids were carried out on 34 designated addresses in Sarıyer and Şişli.
A large number of digital materials and documents were seized during searches conducted at the homes and workplaces of the 32 detained suspects.
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ALSO INCLUDED
It was learned that municipal employees are also among those detained.
