Following reports regarding a video filmed by Dilan Polat, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued detention orders for Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and the individuals in the video. Dilan and Engin Polat were taken into custody and brought to Bayrampaşa State Hospital for medical examinations.

On February 26, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation into a video filmed by Dilan Polat on social media, following reports, on charges of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for use, or using drugs or stimulants."
Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who were taken into custody, were brought to Bayrampaşa State Hospital around 04:30 AM for medical examinations.
Following the examinations, the Polat couple was taken to the Istanbul Police Department to provide their statements.
