Simultaneous operations were carried out in Antalya this morning as part of two separate investigations.

The first operation was conducted within the scope of a file targeting the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Detention warrants were issued for 34 people as part of the investigation.

At the same time, in a separate investigation unrelated to this file, a detention warrant was issued for Zuhal Böcek, the daughter-in-law of Mayor Muhittin Böcek.

MUHİTTİN BÖCEK IS ALSO ON THE LIST

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, proceedings were initiated against 34 people in the operation targeting the municipal subsidiary ANSET.

Among those for whom detention warrants were issued was Muhittin Böcek, who had previously been arrested and suspended from his duties.

K.K., an employee in the municipality's private secretary unit, and Kumluca Coordinator K.K.T. were taken into custody by public security teams.

While it is stated that the number of detentions may increase, the fact that Kumluca Coordinator K.K.T. previously worked at the municipal subsidiary Sosyal A.Ş. has brought allegations regarding the excavation investigation back to the agenda.

3 PEOPLE DETAINED IN A SEPARATE FILE

A new development also occurred in the second investigation, which is being conducted independently of the operation targeting the municipality.

Within the scope of the file conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 3 people, including Zuhal Böcek.

INVESTIGATION INTO THE FOOTAGE

On the other hand, the circulation on social media of footage alleged to be of Muhittin Böcek, who was arrested and suspended from his duties as part of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality investigation, and his family—which the family stated did not belong to them—had sparked controversy.

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that a separate investigation has been launched into the circulation of the footage in question.
