New detention orders have been issued as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
17 people, including Murat Dalkılıç, Duman band lead singer Kaan Tangöze, İsmail Hacıoğlu, and Kemal Doğulu, have been detained.
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a statement. The Prosecutor's Office reported that a total of 52.46 grams of "marijuana" were seized from the 17 individuals. The Prosecutor's Office also stated that 8 people are still being sought. The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is as follows:
"Within the scope of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes, in coordination with the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch, regarding 'publicly known figures' for the crimes of Purchasing, Accepting, or Possessing Drugs or Stimulants for Personal Use, or Using Drugs or Stimulants, or Facilitating the Use of Drugs or Stimulants;
Based on the evidence within the investigation file and the current stage of the proceedings, 17 out of 25 suspects identified as having participated in the alleged crimes were apprehended and detained as a result of simultaneous capture, detention, search, and seizure operations carried out today at 02:00.
As a result of the searches, a total of 52.46 grams of 'marijuana' was seized from various suspects, and efforts to apprehend the 8 suspects who have not yet been caught are ongoing.
