Bektaş Kamburoğlu, one of the bodyguards for CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, was detained this morning.
It was learned that Kamburoğlu was taken into custody by officers from the financial crimes unit.
According to a report by Muratcan Altuntoprak from Sözcü, Kamburoğlu was detained as part of an investigation into alleged 'corruption' within the İBB.
Following Ekrem İmamoğlu's imprisonment, Kamburoğlu had been serving as a bodyguard for Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu and her family.
