A new development has occurred within the scope of the new resolution process, which was architected by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and named "Terror-Free Turkey" by the government, being conducted with the DEM Party and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan.

The terrorist organization PKK announced today that they are withdrawing from Turkey.

The first statement from Turkey regarding the matter came from AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.

Çelik noted the following in a statement on his X account:

"The dissolution of the PKK's elements within Turkey and its armed and illegal structures throughout the entire region, primarily in Iraq and Syria, and the continuation of laying down arms, is the primary agenda of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. The PKK's uninterrupted continuation of laying down arms is the main heading of the roadmap for the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal.

With today's developments, the PKK's decision to withdraw from Turkey and the announcement that new steps will be taken toward the disarmament process are concrete results of the progress in the 'Terror-Free Turkey' roadmap. The withdrawal of terrorist elements from Turkey and the announcement of new steps regarding laying down arms are developments in line with the main goal.

The roadmap continues to produce positive results for the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal.

The 'Terror-Free Turkey' process is a strategic and historical step taken to cleanse our democracy of all threats. The 'terror-free region' goal, which is its natural and inseparable result, is a stance against the establishment of imperialist tutelage through terrorist organizations in our near region, especially in neighboring countries.

The strategic-political ground formed by Mr. Bahçeli's historic call and the transformation of the process into a state policy with the high will of our President have built a great framework that is in line with the spirit of the times and serves as a response to the challenges around us.

The support and guidance matured through the work of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, composed of different parties in the Grand National Assembly, clearly demonstrated that the sole 'political subject' of the process is the national will.

From now on, taking steps toward the uninterrupted continuation of the disarmament and dissolution process will ensure that the goals are reached. With the continuation of the dissolution and disarmament process, the positive framework to be drawn by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission will become clear.

Maximum attention must be paid to protecting the process from all kinds of provocations. We are aware of the political, intelligence, and actual sabotage attempts by the centers behind the chaos politics developing in our near region. In response to these, we are resolutely implementing the roadmap.

The existence and support of parties with different political views is a political richness; it adds strength to the power of this entire process. Protecting this political richness in a way that is consistent with the 'qualities of our state' and the 'values of our nation' and advancing toward the main goal will be path-breaking.

We will not allow marginal and maximalist approaches, with unfair accusations and slanders that distance the process from its main focus, to create side effects that poison the roadmap.

We are advancing toward our goals with the support of every one of our citizens and with our brotherhood, history, and unity of destiny.

With the high state will of our President, all institutions of our state are resolutely continuing to work for the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal.

The Republic of Turkey is in control of its agenda."
