CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who gave his statement yesterday at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan as part of the espionage investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been ordered to be arrested.

Making a new statement through his lawyers, İmamoğlu rebelled against the decision and attacked the government.

"I am rebelling against this much now," said İmamoğlu, asking, "Drop this espionage nonsense and the like. Be brave, state your real problem. Are you cornered? Did your so-called corruption file turn out to be empty? Can't you write the indictment? Do you need another conspiracy file to keep me inside longer? What is your problem, what is your problem?"

Telling the AKP government, "You have run aground very badly," İmamoğlu stated, "This nation knows Ekrem İmamoğlu, and it knows you too. You will receive such a slap from the nation at the ballot box that all the injustices and lawlessness you have committed will pass before your eyes one by one like a film strip."

"So, I am a spy. So, I have colluded with foreign intelligence agencies to manipulate the election.

I am rebelling against this much now.
