Breaking News... Is the 'opening' process cracking? Harsh words from Bahçeli to the DEM Party!

Speaking at his party's group meeting, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli compared the events in Iran to the Gezi Park protests in Turkey. Reacting to the statements made by the DEM Party regarding the situation in Aleppo, Bahçeli said, "The words and statements of DEM Party officials starting with 'We are warning Turkey' and their intentions to whitewash and back the YPG are a very sad and problematic language."

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli spoke at his party's group meeting.

Evaluating the internal unrest in Iran, Bahçeli stated, "Iran's instability threatens Turkey in every respect. Iran's territorial integrity is a matter of life and death for Turkey. I especially hope that you will think carefully about the similarities between the Gezi Park events and the aforementioned events in Iran."

HARSH REACTION TO THE SDF

Continuing his speech, Bahçeli reacted harshly to the SDF, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK, and its ringleader Mazlum Abdi.

"The Zionist villainy nesting here and there in Syria is attempting every way to muddy the waters and destroy internal integrity. The clashes in Aleppo are thought-provoking in every respect.

The SDF/YPG has made mistake after mistake. It has become clear that if Aleppo is there, the yardstick is in Damascus. Trump, meanwhile, sold them out on the fly. It would be useful to emphasize this fact again. The organizational existence of the PKK has been dissolved, and it has laid down its arms.

The fate of the SDF/YPG, which is an extension of this terrorist organization, must be the same. For us, the only valid call is the February 27 call from Imralı, which is an invitation to peace and embrace. Moreover, it binds all structures of the separatist terrorist organization. The SDF is not independent of this, nor is it possible for it to be!

The visible truth is this: The terrorist named Mazlum Abdi is a supporter of Zionism, a puppet of Israel, and is disrespectful and disloyal to the founding leadership of the PKK. No one, especially the DEM Party, can say that our Kurdish brothers are being attacked in Aleppo. Even if they say it, its credibility cannot be discussed. Our Kurdish brothers' blood is our blood, their pain is our pain.

REACTION TO THE DEM PARTY REGARDING ALEPPO

The words and statements of DEM Party officials starting with 'We are warning Turkey' and their intentions to whitewash and back the SDF and YPG are truly a very sad and problematic language.

While I see the DEM Party's democratic and balanced struggle to become a party of Turkey, I think that the recurrence of old illnesses will conflict with the ethics of responsibility. This party is Turkey's party; in this state, its finger-wagging at Turkey can never be seen as innocent or reasonable!

The establishment of calm in Aleppo is a pleasing development. Syria's territorial integrity must be protected.

"WE ARE WITH OUR RETIREES TO THE END"

At the end of his speech, Bahçeli addressed the retirees who are condemned to a starvation wage. Saying "We must put our bodies under the stone" for retirees, Bahçeli noted the following:

"We must put not just our hands but our bodies under the stone, if necessary, to improve the social and economic conditions of our brothers and sisters who receive the lowest pension and whose numbers are approaching approximately 5 million.

We cannot be comfortable while they are sad. We must raise their starvation wage to a level where they can at least live humanely."
