Following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's announcement that Turkey will take part in the task force to be established for the implementation of the ceasefire reached between Hamas and Israel, all eyes have turned to Ankara's role in this mission.

In response to a question regarding whether Turkey will participate in a peacekeeping force in Gaza, sources from the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) stated that the Turkish Armed Forces are ready for any kind of mission.

STATEMENT FROM THE TURKISH ARMED FORCES

Emphasizing the experience the Turkish Armed Forces have gained in international peacekeeping missions in the past, MSB sources stated, "Our Turkish Armed Forces, which have experience in establishing and maintaining peace, are ready for any mission that may be entrusted to them."

WILL EUROFIGHTER PROCUREMENT BE SECURED?

The Ministry also provided important information regarding the procurement of Eurofighters. Stating that modern fighter jets need to be acquired until the national aircraft KAAN enters service to meet the operational needs of the Air Force Command, it noted that efforts in this direction are ongoing.

It was conveyed that the procurement of Eurofighters has not yet been finalized and that the public will be informed when the contract reaches the approval stage.
