Speaking at his party's group meeting, İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu reacted to the arrest of students, saying, "I am telling you, palace judges, partisanship and one-man rule are not a career path. They never have been. They have destroyed those who thought they were most of all. Do not think that the men you treat as idols will remain standing while you ruin the lives of these young people."

The İYİ Party's weekly group meeting has begun. İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu took the podium to deliver his speech.

Yüksel Arslan, who was elected as an Ankara deputy from the İYİ Party in the last general election and resigned after Meral Akşener broke the alliance with the CHP, has rejoined the İYİ Party.

Dervişoğlu stated the following:

"My comrade-in-arms has returned to his home. He had never really left anyway. I will not even pin a badge on him. He came with the İYİ Party badge on his lapel."

 

 

 

 

Starting his speech by commemorating the late artist Volkan Konak, Dervişoğlu said, "I remember the late Volkan Konak, who was precious not only to the Black Sea but to all of us, with mercy, gratitude, and love. He lived as he knew, and he spoke as he knew. May his soul rest in peace and his place be in heaven."

Addressing the detained students, Dervişoğlu said:

"Stop this heartlessness, stop it so that the wave of objection does not turn into a flood of rebellion that will drown you. Remember, for those of you who write and sign arrest, detention, and investigation orders, it is just a few pages of paper. However, those few pages of paper and signatures are enough to completely darken the futures of our young people who have been left breathless and dreamless for years.

I am telling you, palace judges, partisanship and one-man rule are not a career path. They never have been. They have destroyed those who thought they were most of all.

Do not think that the men you treat as idols will remain standing while you ruin the lives of these young people. I am also addressing those in the judiciary who still pursue the cause of justice and conscience, and who have children and siblings of their own. You can stop this. You can bring the public together with conscience. You can empathize. You can easily do this by sticking to the thick legislation books sitting on your desks."

REACTION TO ERDOĞAN REGARDING TRUMP

Dervişoğlu continued as follows:

“It is understood that Erdoğan will set sail for new adventures with his friend Trump. And not just with him; Netanyahu is also in the same boat now.

I am noting this in history now. We will also see the days when these three pose together. It won't be long! 

We will see Trump, Erdoğan, and Netanyahu in the same photo frame!

If you have the Turkish flag in your hand, Mustafa Kemal on your tongue; if you say 'We are Turks, we are Turkists, we are Atatürkists', if you say 'damn the PKK', you are a usual suspect of the Erdoğan regime.

''DO NOT DARE TOUCH OUR CHILDREN''

For the sake of the ransom of your positions, do not dare touch our children.

For the sake of educating your own children abroad, do not alienate these young people from their homeland!”"
