The lawsuit filed by Ebru Eroğlu, one of the lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces for chanting the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" while crossing swords at the Military Academy graduation ceremony held on August 30, 2024, has been concluded.

The Ankara 4th Administrative Court rejected the request for the cancellation of the separation decision issued by the Land Forces Command High Disciplinary Board.

The court's reasoned decision has been served to the parties. The decision stated that, considering the scope of the act in question and its effects, it was evaluated as being detrimental to the reputation of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Furthermore, the decision stated that the act created a perception in society that the military oath had been abandoned, and that this situation could negatively affect the trust placed in the institution. It was also emphasized that a conviction had been formed that the organization regarding the recitation of the oath, which had been removed from the legislation, was planned in advance.

Within the framework of these evaluations, the court ruled that there was no illegality in the High Disciplinary Board's decision and rejected the case.
