In a "corruption" investigation targeting the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and two central district municipalities, 17 people, including Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit, and Mezitli Mayor Ahmet Serkan Tuncer, have been arrested. While 7 suspects were placed under house arrest, 1 person was released under judicial control conditions.

Within the scope of a "corruption" investigation conducted into the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and two central district municipalities, 17 out of 60 people detained have been arrested.
Among those arrested were Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit, and Mezitli Mayor Ahmet Serkan Tuncer.
The court issued house arrest decisions for 7 suspects, while 1 person was released under judicial control conditions.
