Breaking News... MHP is ready to go to İmralı! Devlet Bahçeli's statement on Selahattin Demirtaş: 'His release will lead to good things'

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is making statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Speaking at his party's group meeting in the TBMM, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli responded harshly to claims of a crisis within the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı). Arguing that the commission established in the TBMM as part of the second opening process, called 'Terror-Free Turkey,' should listen to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, Bahçeli stated, "The MHP is ready to participate in such a delegation. There is no need for fear or anxiety. To this day, İmralı has kept its word and stood behind its statements." Following the group meeting, Bahçeli told reporters, "Selahattin Demirtaş's release will lead to good things."

While claims of a crisis within the People's Alliance continue to occupy the agenda, sources close to the MHP reported that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli would make important statements at his party's group meeting in the TBMM.

HARSH RESPONSE TO 'CRISIS IN THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE' CLAIMS

In his speech at the group meeting, Bahçeli responded harshly to the claims of a crisis in the alliance. Bahçeli spoke as follows:

"Why didn't I go to Anıtkabir on October 29? Why did I protest the reception at the Presidential Complex? Or that there is a disagreement on Cyprus policy. Move on, gentlemen, move on. All the claimants have failed and have been caught off guard again. Go tell your fake and chaotic views to the Cibali Police Station. If Sülün Osman, who was caught selling the Galata Bridge, were alive, he would have said 'enough is enough' and packed his bags and left the country.

There is not an incident between us and the AK Party, but a truth that tightly wraps both sides. It is impossible for those whose minds and consciences are mortgaged to understand this.”

"THE COMMISSION SHOULD LISTEN TO ÖCALAN, MHP IS READY TO JOIN THE DELEGATION"

Speaking about the second opening process called 'Terror-Free Turkey,' Bahçeli argued that the commission established in the TBMM should listen to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. Bahçeli stated, "The deputies to be selected from the commission going to İmralı and receiving the necessary messages firsthand will strengthen the process. The MHP is ready to participate in such a delegation. There is no need for fear or anxiety. To this day, İmralı has kept its word and stood behind its statements."

"DEMİRTAŞ'S RELEASE WILL LEAD TO GOOD THINGS"

Responding to reporters' questions after the group meeting, Bahçeli said, "Selahattin Demirtaş's release will lead to good things for Turkey."

Highlights from Bahçeli's statements are as follows:

At the beginning of our group meeting this week, I greet you all with respect and affection, and share my best wishes.

I greet with respect and love all our citizens who follow our meeting today from television screens, radio channels, and social media platforms, both at home and abroad;

I greet all our brothers and sisters who are struggling for a dignified and truthful life in our heartlands and cultural geographies with respect and love, and I wish them all a healthy, successful, and peaceful life.

As the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), we work as if we are breathing, with a spirit of mobilization, without falling into compromise or slackening, without allowing for delays; we extend our hand to every beautiful person of our nation, and we open our hearts.

We both listen to our citizens and express our thoughts.

We are active throughout our country, and we continue our political activities with faith, excitement, and our devoted hearts.

We never forget these words of Akif:

“Let the earth work, let the sky work, if you are not ashamed, sit.

O you who lie down while the whole world and everything in it is standing!

Are you a corpse, you do not move? At least be ashamed before God!”

As you know, we successfully held nine separate regional meetings from August 9, 2025, to September 27, 2025.

In this context, under the call of the theme “Centennial Unity, Eternal Brotherhood,” we met and talked with our citizens through “Terror-Free Turkey, National Unity and Solidarity Meetings,” and shared our thoughts on the hot topics on the agenda.

We took the pulse of our people, and we acted with the understanding that 'the effort is ours, the success is from God' to resolve the question marks that appeared and accumulated in their minds.

Indeed, we achieved tremendous and effective results; we satisfied and comforted pale faces and consciences that had been dragged into indecision and contradiction with honest, well-equipped, and sincere touches and contacts.

Subsequently, starting from October 24, 2025, we planned “Good Days Neighbor” visits, saying we are coming to listen to your troubles, understand your anxieties, and share your problems; and we started our home and workplace visits by meeting face-to-face with the call of “Your Trouble is Our Trouble” for chat meetings until there is no unheard trouble or unshared problem left.

Everywhere in our Turkey, down to our villages, we will knock on every door, enter every house, and win every heart; we will either be a remedy for troubles or we will share them.

We will explain the goals of the Nationalist Movement Party and the People's Alliance, listen to the problems, and we will be in the search and purpose of finding solutions to these problems.

Ghazali says, “If you are not telling me your trouble, it means you do not understand me.”

Just as we tell the troubles, we will strive to be the remedy itself, we will distribute healing to wounded hearts, we will instill hope in sad gazes, and we will shed light on silent and stagnant hearts.

As Hz. Mevlana said, “a person with trouble has a heart house full of hesitation and smoke; if you listen to their trouble, you open a window in that house.”

We will open a window of peace and abundance to every household, and for this, we will add the night to the day.

Even if Aşık Veysel complained, “my trouble is in my heart, what do others know,” we will know the troubles, we will enter the hearts, and we will definitely unite our hearts.

Even if troubles are like a downpour, we exist and we are here.

Even if problems are like a ball of yarn, we still exist and we are always by our nation's side and at its service.

We are the Nationalist Movement Party and the People's Alliance.

When remedies decrease, the sun rises without light.

When fortunes are cut off, it snows in August.

If necessary, we become the sun and both illuminate and warm.

We never leave anyone alone with their troubles.

If necessary, even if it is falling snow, we stand in front of the snow and blizzard with our love.

As I have constantly stated, the subject of our politics is the human, the object is the state, the predicate is democracy, and the sentence is the nation, that is, the great Turkish nation.

I convey my deepest thanks in the presence of our nation to you, our esteemed deputies, our MYK-MDK member friends, all our fellow party members along with our provincial and district chairmen who took part in the execution and performance of the “Good Days Neighbor” visits and “Your Trouble is Our Trouble” chat meetings, and of course to our Deputy Chairman in Charge of Organizational Affairs, Mr. Prof. Dr. Edip Semih Yalçın, who is responsible for the follow-up and provision of these meetings.

I say may God keep you, may your successes and struggle be eternal.

My Esteemed Friends,

The most important problem of our age is the global spiral of unrest caused by constantly escalating conflicts, unceasing economic struggles, and continuously expanding trade and hybrid wars.

The tension of geographies is at an alarming level, and the wave length of military and political disputes is quite high.

Unfortunately, the pure light and fresh breath of common sense have been cut off.

The world is trapped in a new medieval trap with emerging and hybrid characteristics.

Primitive impulses, bottomless prejudices, hegemonic impositions, and injustices and lawlessness that feed on lack of principle and lack of rules, and which deepen as they deepen, are becoming increasingly widespread.

The international order and balance mechanics established after the Second World War are receiving fatal blows from all sides.

The possibility of repairing and compensating for the heavy plunder and destruction caused by these blows is also weakening day by day.

In other words, systemic collapse is almost inevitable.

Erosions in spirituality, crushing of human values, and erosions in the accumulation of morality and conscience are, of course, some of the factors that stand out in the background of the turmoil being experienced.

From the Middle East to the Caucasus, from Africa to South America, from the Caribbean to South Asia, societies and states are writhing in pain.

Unfortunately, the innocent civilian population has paid the heavy price of the civil war that has been reigning in Sudan since 2023, continuing between government forces and the Rapid Support Forces, with their lives and blood.

The violence and cruelty applied to civilians in the city of El Fasher, which the paramilitary formation called the Rapid Support Forces, which clashes with the Sudanese army and whose subcontracting for which circles is more or less clear, recently took control of, is a massacre in a single word.

The drama of defenseless and innocent people and the brutality they are exposed to is almost at a level that makes one miss Gaza.

It is clear that the bloody struggles based on political and economic interests, and at the same time under external pressure, threaten the sovereignty of Sudan, as well as the political and territorial integrity of neighboring countries.

I condemn the crimes against humanity committed in Sudan, and I wish for this country to attain unity, harmony, and an environment of internal peace and tranquility as soon as possible.

A famous political philosopher who passed away last May argued the following views on wars and conflicts:

“No modern war can be a just war.

A just war is a war where the good to be achieved outweighs the evils that continuing the war will create, and where a clear distinction can be made between armed soldiers and unarmed innocent civilians.”

Today, innocent people are in the main field of wars and conflicts.

Finally, wars where civilian and defenseless people are not distinguished, not carefully and in detail separated, and furthermore, not removed from the shadow of weapons, are not only unjust, but are literally murder, mass massacre, and undoubtedly a crime against humanity.

What is happening and being experienced in Gaza is exactly this.

If you remember, I spoke as follows at our Parliamentary group meeting on October 14, 2025:

“The 738-day process of violence and terror involving the Gaza Strip partially ended on October 9, 2025, and finally, a ceasefire regime between Israel and Hamas was established as of October 10, 2025.

The main issue is the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on the ground and the conflicting parties remaining loyal to their commitments and signatures.

In the face of Israel's unreliable military and political stance, acting cautiously and prudently is an inevitable necessity.”

At this stage we have reached, it has been understood and revealed that the summit held in Egypt and the decisions taken have been violated by Israel.

Israel has basely continued the genocide process.

It has hit civilian settlements again.

Israel, which does not comply with the temporary ceasefire decision and does not stop slaughtering the innocent, has registered that it is a country whose word, signature, commitments, and promises cannot be trusted.

The Zionist banditry, which violates the ceasefire decision with flimsy excuses, continues its bloody operations without stopping and raises the bar.

Look at this disgrace, since the ceasefire decision was taken, 254 defenseless people, mostly women and children, have been torn from life.

The US President's words about the ceasefire in Gaza, “not fragile, very solid,” are also the never-ending delirium of a politician who has lost his connection with reality, is lost in a dream world, and speaks arbitrarily and partially.

If the ceasefire is not fragile, then how will the heinous attacks of the antichrist country that has shed the blood of 254 Palestinians in a 20-day period and continues the genocide be explained and expressed?

The fact that Israel, the perpetrator of genocide, insists on aggression by using the ceasefire decision as a screen and building an environment of strategic complacency in this regard is hypocrisy, opportunism, treachery, and enmity against humanity.

The statement by the US Ambassador to Ankara and Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, that “You will see cooperation between Turkey and Israel from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean” is a high-level mental blackout of an ambassador who aspires to the impudence of drawing a political route for the country where he serves.

While the Gaza genocide has not yet been accounted for, the criminals have not been held accountable, and the two-state model has not been realized, on what basis, with what right and authority does this ambassador claim that we will be in cooperation with Israel?

Foreign mission officials serving in our country must know their place.

It is essential and inevitable that they never cross the line and boundaries.

The Republic of Turkey cannot and will not turn its back on the truth and the rights of our oppressed Palestinian brothers until the genocidal ones are dealt with and a new and clean page is opened in relations.

Justice must be served, the human conscience must be at peace, and justice must be realized.

Right is the honor of the rightful.

Honor is the treasure of values of human existence that is impossible to plunder and cannot even be considered to be separated.

A life without honor is a base life that has gone bankrupt in every sense and has been spiritually destroyed.

No one, no country with power and strength, will be able to lower the banner of right and law, and will not be able to take over oppressed hearts.

Victory belongs to those who are patient, victory belongs to those who believe, victory belongs to the noblest of creatures who live and will live on the straight path.

A State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, independent, sovereign, and having attained its geographical integrity, having reached internal political stability and democratic functionality, and in addition, having obtained full membership status at the United Nations, is an irreplaceable necessity for both regional peace and world peace.

Hopefully, the dark period will end, the dawn will break, and the murderous genocidal ones will pay for every drop of the martyr and innocent blood they shed until they regret it.

My Esteemed Fellow Party Members,

A famous historian says, “the world is what emerges when each of us says what we see, and we illuminate it together with our pale lanterns.”

Essentially, the issue is as much about how we see as it is about what we see.

The accuracy of the perspective is as important as what is seen and shown.

The contacts, understandings, narratives, appetites for problem-solving, networks of relationships, and empathy bonds of those who struggle within closed-circuit politics and thought and eventually succumb to stagnation are weak; therefore, it is a life fact that they are prisoners of prejudices.

We speak and share what we see and how we see it by looking from the right place, from the right position, without being caught in the gravitational field of prejudices.

The place we look from is the vast viewpoint, dignity, and sensitivity line of our nation.

What we see today, and also the truth that history distills from lived realities, is the architecture of a great and super-power Turkey that is peaceful, hopeful, secure, developed, and flourishing in prosperity.

The construction and revival of this architecture is not only our political responsibility but also a debt of loyalty to future generations, to our grandchildren who are the hope of the future.

It is known that Turkish administrative history and tradition are based on reason.

It has always been said that reason prevents disappointment, gives quality to the hopes of society, and content to the goals of the state.

By using our reason, by gathering under the banner of our faith and will, we will base our commitment to the truth on the abundance of consensus and overcome the obstacles in our path one by one.

I would especially like to state that being in the same place is not an indicator of being of the same quality.

Hz. Moses and Pharaoh, Hz. Abraham and Nimrod, Hz. Muhammad and Abu Jahl drank the same water.

However, while the bee that drank the same water gave honey, the snake poured poison.

We have no business with poison, we are after honey; we are the defenders of peace, we are in the determination and resolve for the existence of national unity and solidarity until doomsday.

Life and politics are like a sea full of confusing counter-currents.

Patience, perseverance, fortitude, affection, and maturity are each a rugged rock that withstands the impudent foams that distract the mind.

We will stand like a rugged rock with the courage and wisdom that challenges problems, not the one that gets tired, gets scared, cowers, fears, runs away, or hides.

Without being caught in the wake of other ships,

Without capsizing,

We are in the unerring and unshakable goal of overcoming stormy seas one by one, and ensuring lasting peace and tranquility.

The effort of some circles whose purpose is blurred, whose view is scattered, whose will is crooked, whose claim is stunted, and whose reputation is dim to sabotage the “Terror-Free Turkey” goal, and their effort to be prone to provocations by scratching emotions, is null and void in our eyes.

In these days when the escape from being a country associated with terror is progressing step by step, it is an expected and foreseen situation that those who think they will stop the “Terror-Free Turkey” expedition, and those who make political plans for this, become more filthy as the ground they stand on slips.

I would especially like to mention that in the Ottoman Empire, disruptive activities were called causing sedition.

This mentality of sedition has started to wander around like a ghost again, and they have confirmed without shame, without embarrassment, and without blushing at all that they consider terror as a door to livelihood and hope.

Those who blow the whistle of discord and sedition are also a chorus of the oblivious and immoral who cunningly align themselves with terror.

The arrow has left the bow and is locked onto the blessed target.

A Terror-Free Turkey is a capable Turkey that breaks the rusty chains on its feet.

A Terror-Free Turkey is a happy Turkey living in peace and tranquility.

A Terror-Free Turkey is the sign of a successful, victorious, and reputable Turkey that will be a magnificent scene of brotherhood and embrace.

The “National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission” established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly has come to the end of its work.

This commission has carried out its very productive, constructive, responsible, and well-intentioned meetings since August 5, 2025.

I hope that in accordance with the roadmap to be determined and framed in this context, legal, political, and democratic breakthroughs will be ensured on a broad and realistic plane of consensus.

Of course, the views, thoughts, and opinions of the founding leadership of the PKK in the final stretch should be taken, and the sterile discussions that have been going on for days regarding the subject should be ended.

We know very well who some media organizations that are in the search and understanding of creating a conflict between İmralı and Edirne and sabotaging the “Terror-Free Turkey” goal, and so-called experts who voice ordered and sharp views, are serving.

We see the potential indigestion of those who try to hinder the Terror-Free Turkey steps by laying mines between both Öcalan and Demirtaş, and we evaluate that no one will fall for this game.

The plots and traps of the ignorant, rootless, identityless, and collaborative mob that pushes Atatürk's party away from Ankara, first to Saraçhane, then to Silivri, and then to Western capitals with suggestions and warnings, and even imprisons it, are undoubtedly in vain.

They may convince the socialist CHP, but they cannot convince Turkey, they can never stand against us.

If I need to say it once more and insistently, the deputies to be selected from the Commission established in the Parliament going to İmralı and receiving the necessary messages firsthand will strengthen the process much more.

The Nationalist Movement Party is ready to participate in such a delegation.

There is no need for fear, anxiety, hesitation, or wavering in contradiction.

To this day, İmralı has kept its word and stood behind its statements.

Indeed, if one looks carefully at the developments following the February 27 Peace and Democratic Society call, what I mean will be understood quite clearly.

Finally, as of September 26, 2025, a group of PKK members leaving our country and the defunct organization announcing that it has completely withdrawn has revealed that significant developments have manifested in the Terror-Free Turkey goal.

We have many reasons to be hopeful and excited about the future, and they are obvious.

We look at the full part of the glass, we do not keep the question 'what if' in our minds by taking refuge in flimsy, watery, and petty excuses, and we do not take a suspicious position.

By acting with truthful words, good ideas, noble hearts, gentle manners, and dignity, we do not turn a blind eye to meaningless and empty loss of power and energy.

However, we do not let go of caution and prudence, and we maintain our cautious optimism to the end.

After the organizational existence of the separatist terrorist organization is abolished, we evaluate the participation of the organization's members in the SDG/YPG with their weapons, and their demands to establish a separate division while negotiations for the integration of this terrorist organization structure with the Syrian central administration continue, as a direct threat to our national security.

The PKK continuing its existence by entering another body of murder and evil will contradict the Terror-Free Turkey and Terror-Free Region goals, and will be contradictory from head to toe.

The follow-up of the imminent danger that will form against the political and territorial integrity of our Turkey and Syria, together with preventing it in the field, is an acute need before us.

I also find it useful for everyone to know this; there is never, absolutely never, any disagreement or political conflict between the Nationalist Movement Party and the People's Alliance around the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey.

What a strange oddity it is that they are constantly tracking the traces of a crisis in the People's Alliance.

They did not get tired of saying there is a crack, they did not get bored of saying the glass and frame were broken, they never turned back from the lies that it is about to break, it is about to end.

As we temper steel, as we become one heart in the love of homeland and nation, from the CHP to other opposition parties, from half-portion intellectuals to futile commentators who go back and forth in intellectual obsession, to some columnists and social media hitmen, the mind readers are telling fortunes with daisies.

Because their bodies are not used to such a moral and virtuous political alliance that shone like a polar star on the dark night of July 15 and was established like a monument in the squares, their minds cannot grasp it, their characters are never enough.

While the small fry, the good-for-nothings, the supporters and companions were saying the People's Alliance is about to collapse, for some reason they did not show any signs of fatigue.

The legal personality, worldviews, political pasts, and ways of interpreting global developments and Turkey of the parties that make up the People's Alliance are naturally different, and this is extremely natural.

However, a feature of the People's Alliance that is more important than all of them, and perhaps that is stubbornly wanted to be covered up, is that it is the insurmountable fortress of the love for Turkey and the Turkish nation, and the self-sacrificing will of a union that is not calculating but sincere and genuine.

The People's Alliance is the flag, it is the homeland, it is the nation, it is the Kızılelma spirit that reads the world in Turkish, heroically resists treason and cruelty, and it is the consciousness of İ'la-yı Kelimetullah.

Why didn't I go to Anıtkabir on October 29, why did I protest the Republic reception at the Presidential Complex?

Or that there was a deep disagreement on Cyprus policy, or that you have an eyebrow above your eye, or it was like this, or it was like that.

Move on, gentlemen, move on, all the claimants have failed and have been caught off guard again; if it is not too much trouble, go tell your fake and chaotic views to the Cibali Police Station.

If Sülün Osman, who was caught selling the Galata Bridge, were alive, he would have said 'enough is enough' and packed his bags and left the country.

Could the reason we didn't go to Anıtkabir on October 29 not have stemmed from a human situation? Is it out of the question that we were faced with a special situation for that day?

Could we not have seen and thought of this as a test of who would do business with whom, what they would say, and a means of examination, a test process, and a learning aspect for the decoding of the speculations inside their heads, perhaps like a litmus paper?

If we couldn't go to Anıtkabir, wouldn't we have been presented as if we were protesting Anıtkabir when we attended the reception?

If we didn't go to the ceremony at Anıtkabir, how would attending the reception be evaluated as a correct, balanced, and accurate behavior?

Well, isn't it a shameful and degraded double standard not to see those who didn't go to Anıtkabir but ran to the reception and served photo frames?

I said little, let the mob that invests in slander and discord understand a lot, if they can understand, if their strength is enough.

They asked the fox, shall we make you the manager of the chicken farm?

“I can't stop myself from laughing, I don't even want a salary, I'll work as a volunteer,” he replied.

It is obvious that the known and notorious circles also cannot stop themselves from laughing due to the picture on October 29, I suppose.

A journalist whose character we know very well wrote a column last Sunday titled 'What do you say to listening to the late Server Yesari Bey's Hisarbuselik song, there are events in between, will the bond between MHP and AK Party break'.

Without going into detail, I must say this: there is not an incident between us and the AK Party, but a truth that tightly wraps and surrounds both sides; it is impossible for those whose minds and consciences are mortgaged to understand this.

If we say yes to the voluntary apostles of gossip, the living corpses of sedition, the lies and slander-filled words of FETÖ traitors, if we turn back from the Turkish and Turkey Century, if we compromise on Turkish nationalism, which finds its source in the Turkish-Islamic ideal, now let someone open their ears and listen, may the sky fall and the earth crack.

The People's Alliance will continue on its way, it will continue its historical struggle, and it will weave the roof of the new century with faith, accompanied by unity of effort, unity of power, unity of goal, unity of faith, and unity of ideal.

My Esteemed Friends,

The negotiations for the 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal and the 2024 Central Government Final Account Law Proposal, along with the 2024 Court of Accounts reports, began on October 23, 2025.

In addition to the budgets of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Presidency, the budgets of 17 ministries and 228 public institutions, as well as the final accounts of 227 public institutions and 222 Court of Accounts reports, will be negotiated in the Planning and Budget Committee.

I wish for the 2026 budget, which is defined as the budget of stability and prosperity, to be auspicious for our nation, our country, and our state and social life.

I hope that our deputies will closely follow the Committee negotiations, express their views and thoughts, and avoid meaningless and useless arguments, and I expect this from all of you.

It is my special request from you to make positive contributions to a successful and productive budget process and to act in accordance with the political nature of the People's Alliance.

With these feelings, as I end my words, I greet you all with my respects and entrust you to Almighty God.

Thank you, may you exist, stay healthy, I say.
