The statement from the Ministry of National Defense is as follows:
"STATEMENT ON THE BALLISTIC MISSILE NEUTRALIZED IN TURKISH AIRSPACE
A ballistic munition launched from Iran that entered Turkish airspace was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense assets stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Some munition fragments fell into vacant land in Gaziantep. There has been no loss of life or injury in the incident.
Turkey attaches great importance to good neighborly relations and regional stability. However, we emphasize once again that all necessary steps will be taken decisively and without hesitation against any threat directed at our country's territory and airspace. We remind everyone that it is in the interest of all parties to comply with Turkey's warnings in this regard.
