According to A Haber reporter Mehmet Karataş, the missing student was last seen walking from Mecidiyeköy toward Beşiktaş. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the student was last seen on this route and jumped into the sea.
Following Deniz İbişler's disappearance, his family and relatives had searched for the missing student for a long time but were unable to reach a conclusion. The police determined that he had jumped into the sea as a result of an investigation conducted along the route between Mecidiyeköy and Beşiktaş, where İbişler was last seen.
