Breaking News... New operation in fund investigation: 15 more people detained

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated judicial proceedings against 25 suspects as part of an investigation into transactions in capital markets. While 15 suspects have been detained, the financial and asset movements of executives and officials linked to 9 companies have been frozen.

A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Crimes regarding transactions carried out in capital markets.

In a statement issued by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the audit report of the Capital Markets Board (SPK) dated September 17, 2026, was cited. The report stated that market manipulation was detected in the shares of Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman AŞ (KTLEV).

Within the scope of the investigation, judicial proceedings were initiated against 25 suspects. While 15 of the suspects were detained, it was reported that efforts are ongoing to apprehend 10 suspects who are said to be at large.

ASSET MOVEMENTS OF INDIVIDUALS LINKED TO 9 COMPANIES FROZEN

In the financial aspect of the investigation, it was decided to freeze the money and asset movements of executives and officials linked to 9 companies.

These companies were listed as Pusula Finans Holding, Pusula Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Tera Portföy Yönetimi, Hedef Holding, Hedef Portföy Yönetimi, Bulls Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Bulls Portföy Yönetimi, and Ufuk Yatırım Yönetim ve Gayrimenkul.

To prevent the assets subject to the investigation from being smuggled, transferred to third parties, or reduced in value, notifications were sent to the Banks Association of Turkey, the Participation Banks Association of Turkey, the Notaries Union of Turkey, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, and MASAK.

ASSETS OF SPOUSES AND RELATIVES ALSO UNDER SURVEILLANCE

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office statement noted that notifications were sent to relevant institutions to ensure that transactions by the chairmen, board members, and authorized signatories of the fund companies in question, as well as their spouses and first-degree blood relatives, that would reduce their assets, are not carried out without the knowledge and opinion of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was noted that the investigation is continuing in all its aspects.

CELAL YARIZ AMONG THOSE DETAINED

According to the report by İHA, it was learned that Celal Yarız, the father of Pusula Portföy Chairman of the Board Muhammed Yarız, is among those detained within the scope of the investigation.

Muhammed Yarız had also been arrested as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Crimes regarding transactions carried out in capital markets.
