A comprehensive investigation has been launched into suspects alleged to have engaged in manipulation at Borsa Istanbul. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated legal proceedings against individuals identified as having carried out transactions aimed at misleading investors through artificial movements in the capital market.
OPERATION IN 3 PROVINCES
The investigation is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Bureau of Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes. Following technical and physical surveillance, detention warrants were issued for 15 people determined to be in Istanbul, Ankara, and Şanlıurfa.
FORMING AN ORGANIZATION AND MARKET FRAUD
The suspects are accused of "forming an organization for the purpose of committing crimes" and "market fraud." It is alleged that they carried out organized manipulative buy-sell transactions at Borsa Istanbul, thereby creating artificial value increases in the market and obtaining illicit gains.
POLICE PURSUE SUSPECTS
Police teams have launched simultaneous operations to apprehend the individuals for whom detention warrants were issued. While efforts to capture the suspects continue, it was reported that the investigation will be deepened to examine other connections as well.
