The highly anticipated group chairmanship election in the CHP has concluded. Özgür Özel, who was a candidate in the closed-door group meeting, was re-elected as the TBMM Group Chairman by the votes of the deputies.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was a candidate for the position of TBMM Group Chairman at his party's closed-door group meeting. The voting process was completed at the CHP Headquarters with the participation of the deputies.
Özel was re-elected as the CHP TBMM Group Chairman with the votes of 95 out of the 96 deputies who attended the closed-door group meeting. One vote was declared invalid. 15 deputies who could not attend the meeting due to illness, funerals, or being abroad also expressed their support for CHP leader Özel. Thus, Özel was elected to the group chairmanship with 110 votes.
Evaluations regarding the party leadership's roadmap for the new term were also made during the critical meeting.
