Breaking News: Özgür Özel visits Ekrem İmamoğlu! 'The goal is to bring Atatürk's party to power'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel visited Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu ahead of the Education Rally to be held in Saraçhane.

Due to the rally in Saraçhane, the meeting took place at the İBB's office in Bakırköy.

Speaking during the visit, İmamoğlu thanked Özgür Özel for his visit.

Stating that their agenda is quite busy, İmamoğlu said, "We are aware of the responsibilities the nation has placed upon us after the last local elections. We want the next 5 years to be a period that raises the bar even higher than the previous term."

"5 YEARS WHERE CHP MUNICIPALISM BECAME A BRAND"

Speaking after İmamoğlu, Özel congratulated him on his success in the March 31 Local Elections.

Özel commented on İmamoğlu's 5 years in Istanbul, saying, "It has been 5 years where CHP municipalism has become a brand."

"THE GOAL IS TO BRING ATATÜRK'S PARTY TO POWER"

Özel concluded his speech by setting out their goal of coming to power in the next general election:

"Before March 31, it was necessary for the CHP's municipalism, which avoids waste and focuses on service, to be certified for another term in Istanbul. We have the responsibility to bring Atatürk's party to power, with people saying, 'They can now govern Turkey too,' through this fair and public-oriented approach. We see that you and your team, the 90,000-strong İBB family, share the same sense of duty. We are following you with great pride."
