The immunity file prepared regarding CHP leader Özgür Özel has been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

A new investigation had been launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel on charges of "insulting the President" and "publicly inciting to commit a crime" following his statements regarding the detention of some of his party's mayors.
Following this process, a second summary of proceedings (fezleke) regarding Özel was expected to be submitted to Parliament.

The expected development occurred, and the second immunity file prepared regarding Özgür Özel was submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Along with this summary of proceedings, the files of IYI Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez and CHP Istanbul Deputy Taşkın Özer were also sent to Parliament.
'CAN ATALAY' ASSESSMENT ALSO IN THE FILE
A lawsuit had previously been filed against Özgür Özel due to his statements regarding the Court of Cassation's decision on Hatay Deputy Can Atalay, whose parliamentary membership was revoked. The immunity file prepared in this context was submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM on July 2. The summary of proceedings in question had been forwarded by the Speaker of Parliament to the Joint Committee on Constitution and Justice.
