AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that Özlem Gürzel Vural, who took office as the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz following the arrest of Alaattin Köseler, has joined the ranks of the AKP.

Speaking at the AKP Organization Academy Closing Program held at the Haliç Congress Center, Erdoğan stated the following:

"On the 24th anniversary of our party's founding, nine new names, including Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, have joined our party.

The day before yesterday, at our Central Decision and Administrative Board meeting, we pinned the badges of our mayors from Konya's Seydişehir and Emirgazi districts.

Today, we are experiencing the joy of Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel and our municipal council member joining the AK Party family. We say welcome to our family assembly and wish them great success on the path of serving Beykoz, with the help of Almighty God."

 

 

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pinned the badge on Gürzel.

After the badge ceremony, Gürzel took the podium and gave a speech, saying:

"Dear, precious Justice and Development Party members; you are now my new family. Thank you very much for embracing me. I would like to thank our esteemed President for his appreciation in approving my participation in this great family.

From now on, I look forward with enthusiasm and excitement to the services that will come to Beykoz and the support he will provide. I know that my Beykoz family and neighbors are also looking forward to this. From now on, I hope there will be no limits to our service.

We will also expand Beykoz's goals and provide great services. Thank you very much for being with you and for accepting me into your family."
