The court has reached its decision in the investigation into "corruption" allegations at the Silivri Municipality. 10 people, including Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, were arrested, while 8 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.

The judicial process regarding the individuals detained in the "corruption" investigation conducted by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the CHP-run Silivri Municipality has been completed. The 18 suspects detained as part of the investigation appeared before a judge following prosecution and court procedures.
THE OPERATION WAS CONDUCTED ON JUNE 12
Within the scope of the investigation, an operation was carried out on Friday, June 12, under the instructions of the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the operation, detention warrants were issued for a total of 18 people, including Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu.
The detained suspects underwent health checks at Bayrampaşa State Hospital following their processing at the police station. The suspects were then transferred to the Silivri Courthouse, where their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office.
PROSECUTION REQUESTS ARREST AND JUDICIAL CONTROL
Following the statements, the prosecution made different requests regarding the suspects. 11 people, including Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest.
The other 7 suspects were sent to the judgeship with a request for judicial control measures.
COURT REACHES DECISION
As a result of the evaluation made by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, an arrest warrant was issued for 10 people.
