Breaking News... Simultaneous operation in 4 provinces: MIT dismantles international spy network

As part of intelligence operations conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), 7 people alleged to have been operating on behalf of two different foreign intelligence services have been arrested. It was determined during the investigation that 2 other individuals were already in prison for other crimes.

Examinations indicated that the individuals acting alongside B.E., who is alleged to be the leader of the "spy network," were collecting sensitive information regarding non-governmental organizations, associations, ethnic groups, and public officials in Turkey and transmitting it to foreign intelligence services.

The activities of the suspects were monitored for a long period through physical surveillance, technical wiretapping, and cyber tracking methods.

As a result of MIT's efforts, it was stated that the entire organizational structure, including B.E., who was at the center of the network alleged to be engaged in espionage activities against Turkey, had been exposed.

A simultaneous operation was carried out in 4 provinces as part of an investigation coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ankara Counter-Terrorism Branch Directorate. 7 suspects, including B.E., were detained in the operations. It was learned that 2 individuals already in prison for other crimes were also involved in the investigation.

The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse, were arrested on charges of "espionage."
