Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli answered questions from journalists in the hallway following his party's group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Bahçeli was asked about the claim put forward by former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar that 'a decision of absolute nullity has been written in the CHP case.'
Bahçeli said the following in response:
"The CHP is the most important political institution that has existed since the day the republic was founded. We hope that this institution will not be allowed to be stirred up from within, fragmented, legally damaged, or used for other purposes. Therefore, instead of continuing on its path through division, harsh criticisms, and belittling the people it is with, the CHP should choose to meet with the nation. The CHP should fulfill the historical responsibility that falls upon it."
