Breaking News... Statement from Mansur Yavaş, targeted by the MHP! 'Let those creating perceptions today not forget this...'

MHP Deputy Chairman Yaşar Yıldırım targeted Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş with the words 'chief suspect'.

While these words from Yıldırım brought up allegations of an "operation against Mansur Yavaş," Yavaş made a notable statement on his social media account.

Yavaş's statement is as follows:

"I am carefully watching a campaign being consciously carried out by certain circles in recent days. This perception operation sometimes appears before us with a headline, and sometimes with what is written and drawn on social media.

First of all, let everyone know this:

From the very first day we took office, we said that we would protect the trust of the nation like our honor. We continue on our path with the same determination.

We protected the money of the people of Ankara like the money in our own pockets.

We invested not in junk projects, but in the real needs of the people.

We put an end to the rent-seeking order.

We removed the privileges granted to certain groups.

We did not adopt the mentality of 'I will start from where whoever voted more,'

We adopted the mentality of 'I will start from where the need is.'

We continue to broadcast tenders live, share our Court of Accounts reports with the public, and broadcast our council sessions transparently.

We explain our budget to our fellow citizens of Ankara item by item.

Thanks to our transparency, anti-corruption, and fiscal discipline policies, we have received international awards and have become a municipality shown as an example in Turkey with our financial reliability ratings.

Now, a perception operation is being attempted through ongoing judicial processes.

Since April 2019, over 100 complaints have been filed against me.

In the vast majority of these files, my statement has not even been taken.

I have two files at the Council of State:

One of them was opened due to our stance against zoning rent in the Dodurga region,

and the other was opened within the scope of the process known in the public as the 'concert investigation,' with the allegation that I did not fulfill my supervisory duty.

When there is the slightest allegation during my term, it is I who initiates the internal audit and it is I who takes the file to the prosecutor's office.

I did not turn a blind eye to wrongdoing even during my own term, and I will not.

I do not have the slightest doubt about myself. Because I have nothing to hide.

I say this clearly:

I received the authority from the Turkish Nation.

The people of Ankara also showed their satisfaction by voting over 60 percent. The reason is my projects that touch the people that I have implemented and my transparency.

Such being the case; no one can make us a figurehead in political operations and efforts to discredit us.

Our support is neither office nor power.

Our support is the conscience of our nation.

It is the prayer of the mother who can cook for her child in the evening.

It is the peace of the father who can meet the needs of his home.

It is the hope of the farmer who sows seeds in the soil with the sweat of his brow in his field.

It is the hot soup the student drinks.

It is the closed credit book of the poor.

It is the joy of the patient whose face smiles when they are told at the pharmacy, 'your debt is paid.'

No pressure, no accusation, no political calculation can keep us from the path we know to be right.
