Breaking News: Statement from Metro Istanbul regarding closed stations!
Metro Istanbul has announced that the Taksim and Şişhane stations on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line, as well as the Taksim-Kabataş funicular line, have reopened for service.

Following the protests that began due to the arrest of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, services on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line, where some stations were temporarily closed, have returned to normal with the latest arrangement.
In an announcement made on Metro Istanbul's official social media accounts, it was reported that the stations have begun accepting passengers again.
The statement included the following:
"The Taksim station and Şişhane station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line have been opened for operation."

In the statement made yesterday evening, it was stated: "In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governorship, the Taksim Station and Şişhane Station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operation until further notice. Our vehicles will continue their journeys without stopping at the Taksim and Şişhane stations."
