It was determined that Tamar Tanrıyar, who was under investigation for insulting the President and publicly spreading misleading information, was abroad, and an arrest warrant had been issued for her.

According to the information obtained, Tanrıyar, who was abroad, returned to Turkey and was taken into custody on a cruise ship in Kuşadası.

RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL

It was learned that Tamar Tanrıyar was released under judicial control. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office made the following statement:

"Tamar Tanrıyar arrived today in the morning hours from the country where she was located and surrendered in Kuşadası; subsequently, her statement was taken via SEGBIS, and it was decided to apply judicial control measures. All of the suspect's digital devices have been seized, and the investigation is continuing meticulously."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Tanrıyar had made statements regarding Turkuvaz Medya, known for its proximity to the government, during a live broadcast on her YouTube channel.

Reminding that Turkuvaz Medya, owned by Serhat Albayrak—the brother of Berat Albayrak, who is the son-in-law of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan—also handles the distribution of the Sözcü newspaper, Tanrıyar had used the expressions, "I am warning them for now. Break away from them quickly. You have until July 1st. If you break away, you do; otherwise, you cannot silence me."

Following the broadcast, which caused widespread repercussions in a short time and drew reactions in AKP circles, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action and launched an ex officio investigation into Tanrıyar on charges of "insulting the President" and "publicly spreading misleading information."
