The release application filed for urban planner Tayfun Kahraman, who was convicted in the Gezi Park trial and is being held at Silivri Prison, has once again received a negative response.

Kahraman's wife, Meriç Demir Kahraman, announced that their 32-page objection to the 13th High Criminal Court's decision was rejected by the 14th High Criminal Court.

The full statement made by Meriç Demir Kahraman on her X account is as follows:

"Today, for the 186th time, I am going to Silivri with Vera to see Tayfun for 1 hour behind glass.

Today is different from other days, from our previous visits.

Our 32-page objection to the 13th High Criminal Court's decision was rejected in 2 lines by the 14th High Criminal Court amidst its busy agenda.

For years, I have explained and documented to the entire public that Tayfun has no connection to force or violence, and I have documented our innocence.

The Constitutional Court has also legally confirmed and documented this fact.

In our country, our Constitution, which protects the existence and survival of our state, is in effect; the decisions made on the merits by the Constitutional Court are not open to technical or political debate.

The situation that has emerged at this stage is about the constitutional guarantees of every individual in our country, far beyond our family and Tayfun's innocence.

With all our sincerity, we are in deep sorrow both for what we have experienced and for being the object of the situation that has emerged.

Therefore, as of today, I am ending our weekly communication that I have maintained for 44 months.

We are not at the point where words end; words do not end.

However, from today on, what I share will be nothing more than a photo album of an ordinary family.

From today on, the words regarding the possibilities belong to the jurists and politicians.

With gratitude to everyone who carries water with us to extinguish this fire that has fallen upon our home…

May God not force anyone to have to defend their innocence."
