The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has announced that the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) has been appointed as a trustee to the Paramount Hotel, which is under the structure of Bodrum Otel İşletmeleri A.Ş.

The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Bureau of Investigation for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes regarding the charges of "Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes," "Usury," and "Laundering Assets Derived from Crime" has been expanded.
Within the scope of the investigation, detention warrants were issued for a total of 7 people, including Sezgin Baran Korkmaz, the founder of SBK Holding.
PARAMOUNT HOTEL SEIZED
As part of the investigation, the assets of the Paramount Hotel, located in Bodrum Torba and previously operated under the name "The Plaza Bodrum," were seized.
It was determined that the hotel is registered under Bodrum Otel İşletmeleri A.Ş., where suspect Şaban Kayıkçı is an authorized official. Kayıkçı's partnership shares in the aforementioned company were also seized.
TMSF APPOINTED AS TRUSTEE
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) has been appointed as a trustee to the seized Bodrum Otel İşletmeleri A.Ş.
The statement reported that the appointment was made to protect the assets within the scope of the investigation.
