Breaking News... Trustee committee returns to CHP Provincial Headquarters: Scuffle breaks out

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, and his accompanying committee have returned to the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters building.

A scuffle broke out again following Tekin's arrival at the building.

It is known that Gürsel Tekin and the trustee committee shared a list of 30 people with the police. It is stated that instructions were given not to allow anyone other than these individuals into the building.

TRUSTEE COMMITTEE IS IN THE BUILDING

CHP members of parliament are at the entrance of the building. Police forces are allowing the MPs to enter, but are not permitting any advisors or Party Assembly (PM) members accompanying them to enter.

Although Özgür Karabat was able to enter the building, the CHP members accompanying him were not allowed in, and vehicles were not permitted to enter.

The committee, which was appointed 15 minutes ago, had been able to enter the building, but we are currently referring to this place as the former Istanbul Provincial Headquarters; it had been turned into the CHP leader's office.

Ali Mahir Başarır made the following statements:

"It is not just a trustee who has been appointed. The entry of party executives, party assembly members, high disciplinary board members, and district chairs is being prohibited.

This is a decision that could only be made by military courts during periods of martial law. The court only made a decision, unlawfully, to appoint a 5-person trustee committee here.

The court did not make a decision on who can or cannot enter here. The government, taking advantage of this, has effectively seized the political institution from this moment on. No police officer has the right to make a distinction among executives here as to who will enter and who will not.

It is a shameful scene. This place has turned into a police school. There are police on every floor. Why? I ask, what is the reason for this? Why? Gürsel Tekin comes here in his black minibus, while I cannot come here in my car with the red license plate given to me by the Parliament, with the Parliament's vehicle.

When the police take my protection, close protection, the state provided it, but they create difficulties when taking it. This is unacceptable. I am addressing the Ministry of Interior from here. I am addressing the Governor of Istanbul. I am addressing the police chief.

Do not do this, do not pit us against the police. Withdraw the police from here. Withdraw them. I do not want to argue with these police officers. I really do not want to argue. I do not want to argue with any of them. Do not let them pit us against these people. I know the police do not like standing here either. I do not like arguing with them either.

What is the police doing here? What are they doing, for heaven's sake? Look. When you look at the entire area, a 10-kilometer area has been declared a liberated zone, and police have been stationed. District chairs, elected district chairs, cannot come. And from this moment on, this is not our provincial building. They have surrounded us with barriers right now.

Therefore, let the district chairs in. Friends. Look, let the district chairs in. Let the party executives in, you have no such right, none, none. If you say the governor gave such an order, let us know. You do not even say that. They are not showing any decision either. Therefore, there is a de facto situation. We are here. As I said, this is not the provincial building from this moment on. There was no need for the trustee, Gürsel Tekin, to be here anyway. Please, let him go and perform his unlawful duty wherever he is supposed to, and stop provoking party members, district chairs, and people here any further."
