While public debate continues regarding the transparency of the process, the DEM Party has embarked on a new round of talks in Ankara.

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation, consisting of Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar, and Faik Özgür Erol, visited CHP Chairman Özgür Özel today.

The meeting at the CHP Headquarters began at 1:00 PM.

During the meeting, CHP leader Özel was accompanied by CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke and CHP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir.

FIRST STATEMENT AFTER THE VISIT

Following the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, DEM Party members Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar made a statement.

Buldan said, "We have learned that Mr. Özgür Özel will continue to support the peace process moving forward."

Buldan added, "We evaluated the stages reached after the weapons destruction ceremony and the expectations from the parliamentary commission. It was an important meeting. Because tomorrow, Numan Kurtulmuş will meet with the group deputy chairmen of all parties. We have learned that Özel will support this process," she said.

Mithat Sancar pointed to the meeting that Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will hold with political parties tomorrow, assessing that "Parliament is at a critical point for the socialization of the process."
