Following developments in Iran, the Ministry of National Defense has made comprehensive statements on a range of topics, from the latest situation in Syria to border security, and from the C-130 aircraft crash to the investigation within the Land Forces Command.

In its assessment of the latest developments in Syria, the Ministry of National Defense drew attention to the operations conducted by the Syrian Government in Aleppo. The statement included the following remarks:
“The Syrian Government has successfully carried out its counter-terrorism operation in Aleppo. As a result of the operation, which targeted only terrorists, control of Aleppo has been secured by the Syrian Government.”
EMPHASIS ON “ONE STATE, ONE ARMY”
The Ministry of National Defense reiterated its approach regarding Syria's territorial integrity. In its statement, the Ministry highlighted the importance of Syria's security for Turkey and made the following assessment:
“We reiterate that we do not view Syria's security as separate from our own, and that we are prepared to support their fight against terrorist organizations, upon their request, based on the unity and territorial integrity of Syria in line with the principle of ‘one state, one army’.”
24/7 SECURITY MEASURES ON THE IRANIAN BORDER
Addressing the recent developments in Iran and border security, the Ministry of National Defense shared the measures taken on the Turkey-Iran border. The statement provided the following information:
“The security of our 560 km Iranian border is protected by Border Troops with great dedication, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in all weather and terrain conditions, with the understanding that ‘The Border is Honor’.”
TOWERS, WALLS, AND TRENCHES COMPLETED
Details regarding the physical security works carried out along the border line were also shared. The Ministry of National Defense listed the investments made along the Iranian border as follows:
“Along the Iranian border line, the installation of 203 electro-optical towers and 43 elevator towers has been completed, and our activities involving the construction of 380 km of modular concrete walls and the digging of 553 km of trenches have been finalized.”
The Ministry stated that technological measures along the border line are also being maintained without interruption. The statement included the following expressions:
“Furthermore, flights for reconnaissance and surveillance purposes are conducted in the region on a 24-hour basis using UAV/UCAV/manned reconnaissance aircraft systems. Although there is currently no detection of mass migration towards our borders, additional measures have been prepared for the border line, and these measures will be implemented if needed.”
TECHNICAL INVESTIGATION INTO C-130 AIRCRAFT CRASH CONTINUES
The statement also touched upon the technical investigations regarding the C-130 aircraft that crashed on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border, noting that the process is ongoing.
Providing information on the investigation conducted into the transport tenders of the Land Forces Command, the Ministry of National Defense announced that the process has been moved to the judicial stage.
