Breaking News: Yılmaz Tunç responds to Özgür Özel! 'What does this have to do with the judiciary?'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç responded to the statements and documents shared by CHP leader Özgür Özel regarding the alleged 'IMM exchange' by saying, 'This is a conversation between a suspect and their lawyer; what does this have to do with the judiciary?'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel presented striking documents to the public regarding the alleged 'IMM exchange'.

According to these, Mücahit Birinci told Murat Kapki, who is currently detained in the IMM investigation and is benefiting from effective remorse provisions, to "Slander, pay 2 million dollars, and get out of here."

Özel called on Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç to take action, stating, "You are at a historic juncture. You will call the HSK (Council of Judges and Prosecutors) to an extraordinary meeting. You will appoint someone who can gain the consent of us all to conduct the investigation, and you will provide assurance to everyone with an investigation that we can all agree is legitimate. This gang will be dismantled."

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation following Özel's allegations regarding Birinci.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç responded to the statements made by Özel.
