Breaking News: Yusuf Güney released under house arrest

Singer Yusuf Güney was detained after proceedings were initiated against him for "encouraging drug use" due to his remarks regarding a tea containing the banned substance DMT during broadcasts on his YouTube channel.

Güney, who was taken into custody by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch, had been arrested by the court following his processing at the police station.

It has been decided that Yusuf Güney will be released under the judicial control condition of house arrest as part of the ongoing investigation.
