Following the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ's Kahramankazan facilities, RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin announced that a broadcasting ban has been imposed regarding the incident. Şahin stated that it has been observed that unverified information and footage, other than statements from official authorities, are being featured. In his social media post, Şahin included the following statements:
"Following the terrorist attack on the Kahramankazan facilities of our pride, TUSAŞ, where our domestic and national defense products are developed, a broadcasting ban has been issued by the relevant court.
It has been determined that our media is featuring unverified information and footage, particularly from social media sources, outside of the statements made by official authorities.
It is essential that broadcasts that would serve as propaganda for terrorism be ended immediately.
Following the reports of our monitoring experts, the most severe sanctions will be applied to those who do not comply with the broadcasting ban.
I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and a speedy recovery to our wounded."
